Audi India start bookings for the e-tron GT at a token amount of Rs 10 lakh
Audi India has commenced the bookings for the new Audi e-tron GT as of today, the company announced earlier.
The Audi e-tron GT will join the Audi electric lineup of vehicles that includes the e-tron and e-tron Sportback electric SUV models. The e-tron GT is based on the Porsche Taycan as they both belong to the VW group of vehicles and will compete against the Tesla Model S, the Mercedes-Benz EQS and the Porsche Taycan.
Internationally, the e-tron GT is offered in the e-tron GT Quattro, the entry-level model, while the RS e-tron GT is the performance-oriented model. Both trim levels of the e-tron GT come with an 85 kWh lithium-ion battery pack as standard equipment. The power is transmitted to an electric motor, which generates 475PS in the standard model and 598PS in the RS version.
The e-tron GT has a full charge driving range of 487 kilometres, while the RS trim has a full charge range of 471 kilometres, according to official claims. These figures are from the European WLTP cycle.
The e-tron GT comes equipped with the capacity to charge at 270kW utilising DC fast-chargers, thanks to its 800-volt electrical design. This allows it to recharge its battery from 5 percent to 80 percent in around 22.5 minutes.
Audi hasn't confirmed as to how much the e-tron GT will cost exactly, but now that bookings have started, one can book their e-tron GT for a token amount of Rs 10 lakh.
