BMW 5 Series Carbon Edition launched in India at Rs 66.30 lakh
BMW has launched a special edition of the recently facelifted BMW 5 Series in India called the Carbon Edition. This is priced at Rs 66.30 lakh and is based on the top-spec BMW 530i M Sport variant of the sedan. The 530i Carbon Edition is a cosmetic upgrade and carries over the same engine and features as the standard car.
BMW 5 Series Carbon Edition: What's different
The 5 Series Carbon Edition is only available in the Alpine White paint option but gets carbon-fibre styling enhancements like the dark kidney grille and front splitter. The mirror caps and the boot-lid spolier are finished in the same material as well while the alloys are a new design in black. The interior is finished in Cognac brown and black.
BMW 5 Series Carbon Edition: Engine and gearbox
The 530i makes 255PS and 350 Nm from a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol that pairs with the eight-speed ZF torque-converter. There is adaptive suspension and drive modes - Sport, Sport+, Comfort, Eco Pro and Adaptive - on offer.
BMW 5 Series Carbon Edition: Features and safety
The features list remains unchanged from the standard M Sport too. There is a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto/Apple Carplay and gesture control, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, four-zone climate control, wireless charging, remote control parking, 360-degree cameras and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. Safety is taken care of by six airbags, ABS, stability control, traction control, electronic differential lock, electric parking brake with auto hold and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
