BMW F 900 GS & GS Adventure launched in India; prices start at Rs 13.75 lakh
BMW Motorrad India has officially launched the new F 900 GS and F 900 GS Adventure, priced at Rs 13.75 lakh and Rs 14.75 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. These models come with upgraded hardware, a more powerful engine, refreshed design, and additional features. For comparison, the outgoing F 850 GS and F 850 GS Adventure were priced at Rs 12.95 lakh and Rs 13.75 lakh, respectively.

The India-spec F 900 GS comes in Style Passion and Style GS Trophy colour schemes, while the F 900 GS Adventure is available in Blackstorm Metallic and White Aluminium Matte shades.
The F 900 GS and F 900 GS Adventure are designed for experienced riders seeking enhanced features for long-distance adventures, while the F 800 GS serves as an entry-level option for newer adventure riders. The F 900 GS has undergone significant weight reduction, featuring a new plastic fuel tank that is 4.5 kg lighter than its steel predecessor and a redesigned rear section that cuts an additional 2.4 kg.
The ergonomics of the F 900 GS have also been refined for off-road performance, with lower footrests, a higher handlebar position, and a new fuel tank design for improved stability on rough terrain. Both the F 900 GS and F 900 GS Adventure come standard with two riding modesâ"Rain and Roadâ"along with Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) and ABS Pro for better cornering stability. Additionally, BMW offers an optional 'Riding Modes Pro' package, which adds more riding modes, pre-selection options, and Dynamic Brake Control (DBC).
Both motorcycles also feature updated headlights and a new 6.5-inch display for better functionality and visibility.
2024 BMW F 900 GS & F 900 GS Adventure Engine Specifications
The new GS models are powered by an upgraded two-cylinder engine, increasing displacement from 853 cc to 895 cc. The F 900 GS and F 900 GS Adventure generate 105 PS and 93 Nm of torque, while the F 800 GS produces 87 PS and 91 Nm.
Both models come with fully adjustable upside-down telescopic forks, and the F 900 GS can be equipped with the optional Enduro Pro package, which includes titanium nitride-coated forks, an adjustable central spring strut, and an M Endurance chain.

The new F 900 GS and F 900 GS Adventure compete with the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE (Rs 10.30 lakh), Honda XL750 Transalp (Rs 11 lakh), and Triumph Tiger 900 (Rs 14.15 lakh to Rs 16.25 lakh), all prices ex-showroom.
