BMW Group India announce highest ever first half sale in 2022
With 5,570 car deliveries in 2022, the German luxury automaker BMW Group has seen its highest first-half sales performance ever in India.
BMW India reported the best first-half deliveries ever with 5,191 vehicles delivered, while MINI reported a 50 percent increase in sales with 379 vehicles sold between January and June this year compared to the same period in 2021.
In the first half of 2022, the BMW Group had a total sales gain of 64.2 percent in the nation.
The domestically made Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) lineup for the BMW brand, which includes the BMW X1, BMW X3, BMW X4, BMW X5 and BMW X7, contributed close to 50 percent of sales. The BMW 5 Series and BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine also had strong demand, the manufacturer reported.
The locally manufactured Mini Countryman generated approximately 45 percent of the total market share for the Mini brand. BMW Motorrad also saw the biggest first-half sales growth in company history up 56.7 percent, delivering 3,114 bikes.
Separately, the business unveiled in the nation the brand-new, limited-edition BMW 6 Series "50 Jahre M Edition." To mark the legendary BMW M GmbH's 50th anniversary, the new model has been revealed. The price of the automobile, which will only be offered in a small quantity, is Rs 72.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
