Citroen eC3 launched in India, prices start from Rs 11.50 lakh
Citroen India has finally launched the all-new eC3 and prices for the latest EV start from Rs 11.50 lakh. The electric hatch comes in two variants and is offered with the same variant lineup as the standard Citroen C3.
Citroen eC3 variant wise prices:
Citroen eC3 Live - Rs 11.50 lakh
Citroen eC3 Feel - Rs 12.13 lakh
Citroen eC3 Feel Vibe Pack - Rs 12.28 lakh
Citroen eC3 Feel Dual Tone Vibe Pack - Rs 12.43 lakh
The Citroen eC3 uses a 29.2 kWh lithium ferrous phosphate battery that is good for a 320 km ARAI range figure. This battery is naturally air-cooled but is protected for nail penetration. It can also withstand a wide range of operating temperatures from -10 to 55 degrees Celsius. The eC3 can DC fast charge from 10 to 80 per cent in 57 minutes, AC charge at 3.3 kWh and charge from a 15A home socket in 10.5 hours.
The Citroen eC3 is powered by a 57PS and 143 Nm electric motor that gets it from 0 to 60 kmph in 6.8s and onto a 107 kmph top speed. The eC3 loses 10mm of ground clearance to 170 kmph although the wheelbase and other dimensions remain unchanged.
The eC3 and ICE C3 are virtually identical on the inside and outside. Other than amenities like manual air conditioning, power windows, and steel wheels with wheel covers, it comes with the same 10-inch infotainment display and a digital driver's display. ABS, reverse parking sensors and twin airbags are all required components of the safety kit. Equipment like electrically adjustable ORVMs and rear washers and wipers are still not available for the EV.
The Citroen eC3 takes on the likes of the Tata Tiago EV as well as the upcoming MG Air EV in the Indian EV market.
