Customers can now book the Volvo XC40 Recharge single motor variant
Volvo introduced the XC40 Recharge with a single powertrain in India earlier this month. The automaker has officially announced that they have started accepting bookings for the car from today. Customers may reserve the EV through Volvo's official website by paying Rs 1 lakh. The EV is priced at Rs 54.95 lakh.
The XC40 Recharge single motor version retains the 69kWh battery pack, offering a WLTP range of 475km, with an iCAT range standing at 592km. The single electric motor generates 238PS and 420Nm of torque, with a top speed rated at 180kmph.
In contrast, the XC40 Recharge equipped with an all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup boasts a claimed range of 418km. The AWD version's dual-motor setup produces 408PS and 660Nm of torque. On the other hand, the on-sale C40 Recharge AWD features a 78kWh battery pack with a WLTP range of 530km or iCAT range of 683km, along with a dual-electric motor setup producing 408PS and 660Nm of torque.
The XC40 Recharge single motor comes equipped with seven airbags, collision mitigation support, lane-keeping aid, pilot assist, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert, telematics, an eight-speaker 250-watt sound system, digital services with a complimentary five-year subscription, vegan leather upholstery, Google apps, wireless charging pad, air purifier with PM2.5 sensor, and a reverse parking camera, among others.
As part of the package, customers will benefit from eight years of battery warranty and a three-year ownership package, encompassing warranty, service, and roadside assistance. It is worth noting that Volvo recently rebranded the XC40 Recharge and C40 Recharge as EX40 and EC40, respectively, in international markets.
