Dark-themed Hyundai Creta Knight Edition launched at Rs 13.51 lakh, updates across line-up
Hyundai India has now given the Hyundai Creta a dark-themed appearance package with the Knight Edition. The 2022 Hyundai Creta Knight Edition has been launched in India with prices starting from Rs 13.51 lakh for the 1.5-litre petrol in a new manual S Plus variant. Alongside this, the Hyundai Creta has also received more features across its range as part of the 2022 model year update.
Hyundai Creta Knight Edition exterior, interior, features
The Hyundai Creta Knight Edition gets gloss black and red inserts in the tradition as well as gloss black finish to the front and rear skid plates, C-pillar, side sill, roof rails, route mirrors, shark-fin antenna and tail-lamp inserts. Rounding off the outside changes are a special Knight Edition badge, dark badging and black alloy wheels(S Plus: 16-inch, SX(O): 17-inch) with red brake callipers.
On the inside, the Creta Knight Edtion gets an all-black cabin with contrasting AC vents and contrasting stitching on the steering wheel and upholstery. Standard on both variants are features like panoramic sunroof, LED headlamps and DRLs.
Hyundai Creta Knight Edition prices, specifications
The Knight Edition is available with the base 1.5-litre N/A petrol that makes 115PS and 144 Nm, pairing with a 5-speed manual in the S Plus and a CVT in the SX(O). The 1.5-litre diesel is also available with the dark package, making 115PS and 250 Nm. This pairs with a six-speed manual in the S Plus and 6AT in the SX(O).
From the base petrol S Plus manual, prices for the Hyundai Creta Knight Edition go up to Rs 18.18 lakh for the diesel AT SX(O). Th petrol CVT SX(O) costs Rs 17.22 lakh while the base diesel S Plus manual Knight Edition is priced at Rs 17.22 lakh.
2022 Hyundai Creta new variants, features
Alongside the Knight Edition, the rest of the Creta line-up has also been expanded with more features and new variants. The most notable of these is the addition of the iMT clutchless manual gearbox to the range. This pairs with the 1.5-litre petrol and is priced at Rs 12.83 lakh for the lower S trim. The 2022 Hyundai Creta also come with a highline TPMS as standard and gets a new Denim Blue paint option, also a gloss black centre console has now been added to the top SX(O) variant.
2022 Hyundai Creta S Plus variant explained
The new S Plus trim introduced with the Knight Edition gets more features over the S variant like a panoramic sunroof, 16-inch black alloy wheels, wireless charging, rear disc brakes, stability control, vehicle stability management, hill-start assist, paddle shifters, metal-finished pedals, auto electric folding outer mirrors and auto up/dowm for the driver's power window. This new variant can also be had with the 140PS and 242 1.4-litre turbo-petrol, paired with a seven-speed DCT with the regular Creta's styling and making it the most affordable turbo variant.
