Datsun Redi-Go: All you need to know

Datsun has launched the 2020 Redi-Go at a price of Rs 2.83 lakh and top model costs Rs 4.77 lakh. The car is powered by a BSVI compliant 800cc 3-cylinder petrol engine that makes 54PS of power and 73Nm of torque. This engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and the company claims a fuel economy of 20.71kmpl. And the 1.0-litre petrol engine pushes 68PS of power and 91Nm of torque and this engine is offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed automatic gearbox as well.

The car is offered in four variants and it comes with two petrol engine options. An 800cc 3-cylinder unit and a 999cc 3-cylinder unit. The car gets six colour options - Vivid Blue, Ruby Red, Sandstone Brown, Bronze Grey, Crystal Silver, and Opel White. Redi-Go D
This base variant of the Datsun Redi-Go gets a 0.8-litre engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox and it features Integrated front and rear headrests, chrome grille frame, halogen headlamps, intermittent wipers, tinted glass, remote fuel lid opener and internally adjustable manual wing mirrors. The car rides on 14-inch wheels and gets ABS with EBD as standard. It also gets a driver airbag and rear parking sensors.

Redi-Go A
Positioned above the base variant, this one also gets a 0.8-litre petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. It features body-coloured bumpers, power steering, manual air conditioner with cooler and heater, folding rear seats, immobiliser, passenger-side sun visor and an accessory socket.

Redi-Go T
The Redi-Go T also comes with the same engine and transmission option and it hosts features like central remote locking, monotone full-size wheel covers, body-coloured outside door handle, intermittent wiper, 2-DIN audio system with FM, AUX and USB input and Bluetooth, front door trim with fabric insert, silver interior inserts on steering wheel, door handles and centre console and brushed gunmetal dashboard insert.

Redi-Go T (O)

This variant gets the 1.0-litre petrol engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox and 5-speed AMT along with the 0.8-litre petrol engine with the manual transmission that is common in the T, A and D variants. It gets premium features like dual airbags, 3-point retractable seatbelts at the front with pretensioner and load limiter for driver and passenger side, dual-tone full-size wheel covers, LED DRLs, LED fog lamps, LED inserts for tail lamps, body-coloured wing mirrors, rearview camera, front LED fog lamps, 8.0-inch touchscreen with FM, Aux and USB input, Bluetooth, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, front power windows, premium fabric upholstery and piano black centre console finish.

The Datsun Redi-Go will lock horns with the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Alto, Renault Kwid and S-Presso.
