Discounts on Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon and Ford EcoSport - Hyundai Venue effect?
Hyundai India's recent launch, the Venue is the buzzword in the Indian automobile scene. At Rs 6.50 lakh, the pricing of the Hyundai Venue is being seen as an attractive proposition against its main rivals in the compact sub-4m SUV segment. We have also shared a list of on-road prices of the Hyundai Venue SUV. And now, we have got a list of the various discounts that are being offered by different car manufacture currently. While the reasons for that can be many that includes the weakening car sales that has hit the Indian automobile market badly, wherein dealerships intend to liquidate their piled up inventory, it can also be credited to the launch of Hyundai Venue SUV, where more competitive prices and additional discounts could help tempt the prospective buyer from choosing one of the offerings from competing car manufacturers.
India's largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki is offering an upfront cash discount of Rs 15,000 along with exchange bonus of Rs 15,000 on the Vitara Brezza. Additionally, if you are working for one of the listed corporate companies, you can avail an additional discount of Rs 1,110 - Rs 3,000. Government employees, on the other hand, can get a discount of Rs 3,000. The offers remains identical in Mumbai and Delhi dealerships. Tata Motors is offering a cash discount of Rs 15,000 on the diesel models of the Nexon SUV along with 15,000 exchange bonus and Rs 3,000 for Corporate brands. The petrol models of the Nexon are being offered with a discount of Rs 15,000 along with a Corporate offer of Rs 3,000. Similar to Maruti Suzuki, this offer by Tata Motors is available in both Mumbai and Delhi. The Ford EcoSport is being offered with a cash discount of Rs 10,000 and a Rs 15,000 exchange bonus. Additionally, if the car is booked by a female, Ford will be offering one year of extended warranty along with an discount of Rs 5,000 for corporate booking. This offer is only valid in Mumbai whereas for Delhi, buyers can avail Rs 25,000 cash discount on the SUV. There are no discounts on offer on the Mahindra XUV300 SUV.
The Hyundai's pricing is competitive which means it finds itself competing with all these cars at various levels. The Venue has a thoughtful mix of variants too to keep the prices within reach. The base 1.2 petrol can be had for as little as Rs 6.5 lakh but only in the lower E and S trims. The tech-heavy 1.0 litre turbo petrol comes in S, SX and SX(O), starting at Rs 8.21 lakh and going up to Rs 10.60 lakh. The seven-speed DCT only comes in the S and SX+ trims, this lowers the entry price to Rs 9.35 lakh. The diesel is available in all four trims, starting at Rs 7.75 lakh. All introductory, ex-showroom.
