Ducati India has launched the Ducati SuperSport 950 and has slapped a Rs 13.49 lakh price tag on it. In Ducati's completely faired motorcycle lineup, the SuperSport 950 stands below the Panigale V2.

The SuperSport is a sport touring motorbike that came to India a few years ago and is now back as a BS6 compliant model. Available in two variants, and the SuperSport 950 and the SuperSport 950 S which comes with more kit and costs from Rs 15.49 lakh onwards.

The SuperSport has been updated to match the current Panigale design language, with new fairings and headlamps, resulting in a sculpted and complex front end, with new LED headlights flanked by tiny air vents. The SuperSport's windscreen has also been changed, and Ducati claims that it is now more aerodynamic than before.

The SuperSport now includes a 4.3-inch colour TFT screen as standard equipment. The Ducati Multimedia System, which is Ducati's smartphone connectivity module, must be purchased separately. The SuperSport now has cornering ABS, lean-sensitive traction control, and wheelie control thanks to the installation of a Bosch six-axis IMU. In addition, all three riding modes i.e Urban, Touring, and Sport have been improved. The SuperSport now features a Brembo front radial master cylinder, which should increase brake feel and performance.

While Ducati spent plenty of time reworking the vehicle's design, they left everything in the engine bay untouched. The SuperSport retains the 937cc liquid-cooled L-twin engine which produces 112PS and 93 Nm of torque.

The mechanicals remains the same as well. The regular model comes with a 43mm Marzocchi USD fork and a Sachs monoshock, while the upgraded S variant comes with sophisticated (and golden) Ohlins suspension. All of the units may be adjusted to your liking.

The SuperSport 950 is a one-of-a-kind motorcycle, with only the Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX as a direct competitor. The recently released Aprilia RS 660 is another sportbike in this price bracket that, while having less displacement, can give the SuperSport a un for its money in terms of outright performance.
