Ducati reveals XDiavel Nera
Ducati presents the new limited-edition XDiavel Nera in collaboration with Italian furniture and interior design house Poltrona Frau.
If there was anything that the brawny XDiavel was found it to be lacking, according to some Ducatisti at least, it would have to be the exclusivity factor. Well, smitten once again should these Ducatisti be, for in has stepped Ducati to sort the matter out. Ducati has worked with Poltrona Frau, who's specialty is leather work, in an effort to up the XDiavel's 'elegance' game and it appears to have worked.
The XDiavel Nera, which is characterised by the elegant 'Black on Black' livery and some bright red accentson parts like the front brake calipers and the engine valve covers, gets a special customisable saddle made of Pelle Frau â" a soft, natural, hand-crafted leather that's undergone a good amount of treatment to ensure its longevity. The double-stitched, laser-engraved 'X-pattern' seat can be had in a choice of five colours. The XDiavel Nera comes complete with a key fob and a document holder in the same leather. In addition to the seat, leather accessories include a passenger backrest, key fob holder, and document pouch. The leather is available in five colour options. Only 500 of the XDiavel Nera will ever be produced.
Other than that, the Nera shares the same design, mechanical components, and tech as the other two XDiavels - the XDiavel S and XDiavel Dark. So, powering the Nera is the same highly flexible 1262cc Testrastretta DVT engine which produces a max power of 160PS at 9,500rpm and 127Nm at 5,00rpm.
The XDiavel Nera rolls on elegant, forged and machined aluminum wheels that come shod with Pirelli Diablo Rosso III radials (20/70-17 front and 240/45-17 rear). The limited-edition XDiavel gets the same six-axis inertial platform which includes all the most advanced safety functions, such as cornering ABS, while the 3.5-inch TFT screen displays the instrumentation, brandishes exclusive animation.
