Motorsport Award: Jaypee Sports International

They all said it couldn't be done. But JPSI pulled off a flawless opening to India's first Formula One race without missing a beat. The Buddh International Circuit is a triumph in being a great track to drive and ride, as well as a great facility to grow Motorsport in India.

Mid-Sized Bike Of the Year:Harley-Davidson SuperLow

This is what we have always wanted. A genuine Harley-Davidson for a reasonable amount of money. The SuperLow is all that. The throaty voice of the engine, it's silken torque, the deep chrome and the compact package offer the right combination of India-ability with the legendary appeal of Harley's unique brand of cruiser glory.

Import SUV Of The Year: Range Rover Evoque

Could the Evoque be the best looking car in all of the awards this year? It probably is. But the near concept car good looks are backed up by solid all-round performance, real off- roadability and a direct, arresting appeal that is hard to ignore. The Evoque is a solid SUV from the Tata-JLR stable, one that does the brand proud.

SUV Of The Year: Mahindra XUV500

Mahindra's first monocoque. Their first transverse engine platform. It's a product potential fraught with pitfalls. But Mahindra have sailed through with typical home-brewed confidence. The XUV proves to be an excellent SUV, managing the demands of road behaviour, feature loading and engine performance deftly and all that at a properly astonishing price tag. Absolutely awesome. It also wins the Viewers Choice for the Car of the Year.

Import Car Of The Year: Audi A8

Audi's cars are going through a wonderful transition from subtle but solid German luxury cars to incredibly appealing automobiles. And the A8 is where the renaissance began. It's got the best cabin in class by miles, outstanding performance, unmatched luxury and a strongly youthful appeal which it wears with panache.

Premium Car Of The Year: Audi A6

Audi's return to form began with the new A8. The A6 is hewn from the same stock - a tautly strung body line, smashing engines, the assurance of four-wheel drive, superb handling and ride quality and a cabin that today is unmatched in its segment as well as among many cars above the A6's segment. The new A6 has been the easy winner in the usually closely contested premium car battles this year.

Executive Car Of The Year: Volkswagen Jetta

The outgoing Jetta was already an impressively accomplished automobile. The new Jetta however is so good, it makes it's predecessor look portly and slow. Volkswagen's executive saloon is extremely refined, offers an excellent cabin, sure footed road manners and proves to be unbeatable this year.

Mid-sized Car Of The Year: Hyundai Verna

Hyundai understand Indian value perception with unbelievable clarity. The Verna is a great example of their ability to thrill Indian customers with a superb blend of excellent city manners, a choice of frugal petrol and diesel engines with excellent performance and Hyundai's exuberant, snazzy new styling.

Micro-mini Car of the Year: Hyundai Eon

It's time for Maruti to get worried. Hyundai have made a serious foray into their stronghold. The Eon with its attractive looks based on the company's fluidic design is a refreshing arrival in this segment. The Maruti 800 and the Alto now have a worthy challenger and its competitively priced too.

Bike Of The Year: Honda CBR250R

This is the 250cc motorcycle the Indian masses need right now, a desirable blend of good looks, forgiving handling, real-world ride quality matched to a torque-laden, powerful engine. The CBR has gathered nothing but superlatives in its Indian innings and it bridges the gap between the small displacement sporty motorcycles and the much larger CBU motorcycles with wonderful performance at a reasonable price, a winning combination. The CBR also wins our Compact Bike Of The Year and also the Viewers Choice For Bike of The Year Awards.

Car Of The Year: Maruti Suzuki Swift

The original Swift was anointed as the enthusiasts' hatchback. It had sparkling performance, sizzling handling and was frugal and practical when you weren't indulging your passion for driving. The new one improves noticeably on every single one of those well-developed strengths, heightens its essence of being a cheerful, youthful hatchback and wraps it up in a skin sharper than before. The new Swift also wins our Compact Car Of The Year.

Manufacturer of the year Award

For long Toyota Kirloskar Motor has been a sleeping giant, churning out best in class products starting with the Qualis to todays Innova but resolutely staying away from the main volume generating segments. They've finally taken the plunge with the Etios sedan and Liva hatchback and done it in a way that does the Toyota name proud, focusing on quality, reliability, efficiency, space and exactly what the customer wants. Little wonder that the all-new manufacturing facility is running at full steam, demand is extremely strong and TKM is firmly on its way to rapidly growing its market share.

Car Commerical of The Year Award

'Flyboy' continues the tradition of Volkswagen's creative advertising. Shot over three days in Bangalore, this film strengthens the positioning of the Jetta as a car that 'you'll do anything to drive'. The story of a hero who cuts off his wings â€" the very thing that makes him special â€" just to drive the Jetta is simple enough to tickle viewers, while the slick production ensures high recall value.

Bike Commerical of The Year Award

TVS Wego's 'Face Off' positions the scooter as a playful mode of transport to navigate the city streets. Centred on the scooter's USP â€" the body balance feature, the film attempts to bring back the fun factor associated with a scooter for a young city couple. The interesting stunts by the pretty pillion women aid high recall, while the peppy music track lends a trendy touch to the entire film.
