In pictures: Lamborghini Aventador Roadster
Lamborghinis are extreme. And the current pinnacle of out there-dom is the new Aventador Roadster. The Aventador is in itself a spectacular form of the supercar, but take the roof off and it just becomes so much more of an occasion. And for those who think they need wind in the hair to really make a go of it, the Aventador Roadster will cheerfully rumble up a gale in your hair while its 700PS V12 makes the very same hair stand on end. For those of you who still don't get this, the Roadster will hit 100kmph in 3 seconds flat and carry on till the speedo hits 350kmph.

And wait, it isn't an aberration in the sense of the dwindling natural resources either.
This is the correct way to disembark from a Lambo. Actually, nobody cares how you disembark from a Lambo
It pays obeisance to the temple of the greenies by incorporating cylinder deactivation when you haven't got the pedal on the metal, start-stop for the traffic lights where you must take the Roadster so lesser mortals have a chance to be inspired to become economically productive and generate a mountain of personal wealth and something called supercaps (which help start the engine and are a boring electrical component, but with a really cool name).

All this is wrapped in carbon fibre for lightness, aluminium where carbon won't do (like the wheels) and the roof is made of the most exotic material ever. Lamborghini calls it blue sky. As do you and I. It's made of 70 per cent nitrogen.
The Roadster is already causing hair problems. And it's still stationary
Did you see what the Lambo made us do there? Drool so hard that the brain shut down. So, in sum, carbon fibre? Expensive and exotic. 700PS V12? Exhilarating and enthralling. A car so awesome your brain shuts down? Priceless.
