Fiat, Mahindra to organise separate PUC test camps for respective customers
Book you place in the FGAIPL test camp this World Environment Day. Before IPL fans jump to far-fetched conclusions, we would like to explain that the FGAIPL stands for Fiat Group Automobiles Pvt Ltd and the test is a PUC test. But the goods news is that it's free.
Fiat will be contacting existing customers regarding the camp
Mahindra and Mahindra would also be organising a free PUC check-up camp for personal as well as commercial Mahindra vehicles across all its 400 plus dealerships' workshops. Like Skoda, Mahindra has also been conducting such camps every year.
The customer care VP of Automotive division (M&M), Sanjay Gupta, said, "Mahindra has always been committed to the cause of sustainable development across its entire value chain. Our products conform to the strictest emission norms and reaffirm our commitment and responsibility towards society and a clean and green tomorrow. The Free Pollution check-up campaign organised to commemorate the World Environment Day across our entire service network is a modest step to further that vision and offer better value to our customers."
Mahindra has also been conducting PUC check-up camps every year
Mahindra is going one step forward by distributing saplings to its customers to spread the message in a more visible way. The camp will be held in association with SIAM (Society for Indian Automobile Manufacturers) and SAFE (Society for Automotive Fitness and Environment).
Fiat would be contacting existing customers to inform them about the camp. These camps will be held at selected workshops across 64 cities in India.

The PUC check up initiative is to ensure that we as a company are doing our bit to maintain our vehicles and follow environmentally sustainable practices. Through the check up camps, we will replicate Fiat's global standards in after sales service in India. We have seen a very positive response to the check up camps that were conducted in the past and have therefore decided to launch PUC check up camp keeping in mind the environmental sensitivities the world is facing."
