Ford EcoSport Facelift spied again - Key design changes revealed

Ford India is working on the EcoSport facelift and its test mules have been spied multiple times. The latest spy shots reveal the key changes sans camouflage. The front of the EcoSport facelift now gets a larger grille with chunky borders finished with chrome garnishing. The bumper is now sculpted and also hosts the inverted L-shaped LED DRLs. Ford has also tweaked the skid plate and other elements on the lower bumper as well.

Moving to the side, the profile is unchanged but Ford will offer twin 5-spoke machine cut alloy wheels with the facelift. On to the back, there are no changes made, other than the new boot-mounted alloy wheel. Ford has tried to give the EcoSport the much-needed makeover, however, the large grille may not go with everybody's liking.

While the changes on the exteriors are perceptible, we expect very little to no changes on the inside. Ford could offer tweaked upholstery and a feature list rejig as the EcoSport has always been a loaded sub-compact SUV. Talking of its features, Ford EcoSport comes with an electric sunroof, 6 airbags, SYNC 3 infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple Car Play and Ford Pass, TPMS and Keyless entry to name a few.

Like most of the facelifts, the EcoSport won't come with any mechanical changes. The EcoSport will come powered with the same 123PS 1.5-litre Dragon-series naturally aspirated petrol engine and 100PS 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine. While the diesel is mated to a 5-speed manual, the 1.5-litre petrol will also be offered with a 6-speed torque convertor with paddle shifters. Ford could launch the EcoSport facelift in September and prices won't receive big changes.
