GM India quietly launches new facelifted 2013 Chevrolet Captiva
The facelifted Captiva will be in our markets in the coming days. GM has updated its Indian website with the updated Chevrolet Captiva. This version had made it to Korea in February and also to Europe at the Geneva Auto Show. Prices as displayed on the website say that the Captiva range starts at Rs 23,49,802.
2013 Chevrolet Captiva facelift
The new Captiva comes in two variants, LT (manual transmission) and LTZ (automatic transmission). The heart of the car is a 2.2-litre four cylinder VCDi diesel engine that dishes out 188PS power and 424Nm torque. It also gets an Adaptive All-Wheel Drive (AWD). We confirmed with GM that the old 2.0-litre diesel engined Captiva was also on sale.
The rear of the 2013 Captiva has LED tail lamps and fog lamps
The re-worked front of the SUV includes a new lower bumper, new fog lamps, chrome surrounds and new design on the grille mesh. On the rear, the new bumper is instantly recognizable. Stop tail lights get tinges of LED and new wheels get classier 18" six-spoke alloys.
The new Captiva gets a refreshed instrument cluster and six airbags
On the inside, the new Captiva gets a refreshed instrument cluster, high-end entertainment system and jet-black upholstery to go with the 5+2 flexi-seating. ABS with EBD, traction control, descent control, rear parking assist system, rain sensing wipers, cruise control, heated outside mirrors and six airbags enhance the safety front of this SUV.
