Harley-Davidson X440 prices to go up by Rs 10,500 from 4 Aug; new prices start at Rs 2.39 lakh
Hero MotoCorp has announced updated prices for the all-new Harley-Davidson X440 in India. The X440 has received a price hike of Rs 10,500 across its three variants with effect from 4 August, 2023. Therefore, the Denim, Vivid, and S will now cost Rs 2,39,500; Rs 2,59,500; and Rs 2,79,500 (all ex-showroom), respectively. The neo-retro roadster was launched in the previous month with introductory prices starting at Rs 2.29 lakh (ex-showroom).
Co-developed with Hero MotoCorp, the X440 is the first single-cylinder Harley-Davidson to be manufactured in India. The American bike maker entered the sub-500cc motorcycle segment alongside its British rival Triumph, which has partnered with Bajaj Auto to produce its all-new Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X in the country. The former has even received an overwhelming response, surpassing 10,000 reservations mark within 10 days of its bookings commencement.
Harley-Davidson X440: Design and Colours
The all-new X440 is a modern classic roadster that draws inspiration from older Harley-Davidson motorcycles in terms of design, for example the XR 1200. It also features the signature styling cues, such as a turtle fuel tank. Apart from that, the motorcycle features a round LED headlamp, round LED indicators, slim LED taillight, a single-piece seat, and dual-tone alloy wheels. Meanwhile, the most affordable Harley-Davidson in the country is available in a variety of colour schemes, namely Mustard Denim, metallic Thick Red, Matt Black, and metallic Dark Silver.
Harley-Davidson X440: Features and Specs
The X440 gets all-LED lights, a small colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, dual-channel ABS, ByBre calliper with a 320mm single disc brake at the front, 240mm single disc brake at the back, KYB upside down front forks, and a dual-spring shock absorbers. The motorcycle runs on 190/90 18 section and 140/70 17 section MRF Zapper Hyke tyres at the front and rear, respectively. Further, it weighs 190.5kg and has a seat height of 805mm, while the ground clearance is rated at 170mm.
Harley-Davidson X440: Engine
Powering the X440 is a new 440cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled two-valve engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. This motor delivers 27.37PS at 6,000rpm and 38Nm of torque at 4,000rpm.
