Hero Destini XTEC lauched at Rs 79,990
Hero MotoCorp has added an updated, more feature-rich version of its Destini 125cc scooter and it's called the Destini XTEC. Priced at Rs 79,990, the new scooter variant costs around Rs 10,000 and Rs 4,000 more than the existing standard Destini and Destini LX models. The new Destini XTEC model gets features like an LED headlight instead of the halogen bulb unit and Bluetooth connectivity over the standard model.
While the Destini XTEC features a pillion backrest and a slightly tweaked rear grabrail â" features that aren't included on the standard and LX models, the new variant continues to miss out on disc brakes. The latest Hero scooter model's underpinnings haven't changed at all from the existing Destini scooter models. The XTEC continues to be powered by the same 9.1PS and 10.4Nm, producing 124.6cc single-cylinder engine as before.
The Destini XTEC's continues to house technology features such as Hero's idle stop-start i3S system to aid overall running efficiency, but it now comes with a front USB charger, and a (quite dated-looking) digi-analogue instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity that provides SMS alerts. There's even a side-stand engine cut off feature thrown in as well.
The Destini XTEC will also be available in an additional Nexus Blue colour option.
