Honda has taken the wraps off the 0 Saloon and 0 SUV at the CES 2025 along with introducing ASIMO OS, the brand's original vehicle operating system. The company has also showcased level 3 automated driving function with the 0 models which enables eyes-off function. A collaboration with Renesas Electronic Corporation has also been announced to develop high performance system-on-chip (SOC) for the next generation of 0 series which is expected to debut by 2026.
Honda 0 Series Saloon
Built on an all new dedicated EV platform, the prototype looks sporty with sleek lines and a low stance. The 0 Series Saloon is touted as the flagship model of the 0 Series and thus reflect the pillars of the concept - Thin, Light and Wise. We can expect the Honda 0 Series Saloon to hit the markets by 2026. It will feature Level 3 automated driving and high level customisation with ASIMO OS.
Honda 0 Series SUV
The o Series EV SUV follows the same principle of being thin and light. The prototype has an angular rear end with flared wheel arches, flush door handles and a curvy bonnet. We can expect spacious interior with a sizeable infotainment unit for a suite of features and entertainment. The electric vehicle will also feature advanced tech for better driving dynamics like 3D gyro sensors which help in better handling.
ASIMO OS
The o Series vehicles will feature the ASIMO OS program that is inspired by the brand's ASIMO humanoid robot. The "Wise" in 0 Series will be powered by the ASIMO OS which will be responsible for environmental awareness, and autonomous recognition of driving patterns. The OS will be responsible for a host of features such as Over-the-air-updates, in-car infotainment, and advanced driver assistance systems to name a few.
