Hyundai India has achieved a huge milestone with its Creta SUV. The popular mid-size SUV has surpassed one lakh unit sales since its launch in India. The updated Creta was launched in January 2024 and it took Hyundai just 6 months to cross this milestone.

The Hyundai Creta is available in seven different configurations, with prices ranging from Rs. 11 lakh ex-showroom to Rs. 20.15 lakh at the highest. To achieve the 1 lakh unit sales, Hyundai Motor India sold over 550 Cretas per day for 6 months.

The SUV is available in E, EX, S, S (O), SX, SX Tech, and SX (O) variants. One of the biggest reasons the Creta sold so many times is because it is available in a choice of engines.

Hyundai Be The Better Guy

Powering the Creta is a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 160PS and 253Nm, a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor that makes 115PS and 143.8Nm, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine generating 116PS and 250Nm. Transmission options include a six-speed manual, a six-speed automatic, a CVT automatic, and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.

The Creta comes loaded with features. The facelift has brought 18-inch alloy wheels, dual 10.25-inch screens, Level 2 ADAS, six airbags, telematics, updated connected car tech, multi-colour ambient lighting, an in-built voice assistant, ESC, traction control, multiple driving modes, USB Type-C ports, a panoramic sunroof, an updated Bose sound system, an air purifier, a 360deg camera, powered front seats, a wireless charging pad, and ventilated seats, among others.

Commenting on the achievement, Tarun Garg, COO, of Hyundai Motor India Limited, said, "We are thrilled with the remarkable achievement of the new Hyundai Creta 2024. Our SUV has achieved another milestone of one lakh sales, reaffirming its strong fan following in its segment. We are confident that the Hyundai Creta will continue to set new benchmarks in the Indian automobile industry and delight customers."
