Hyundai Creta Electric unveiled with a range of 473km
Hyundai has teased the upcoming Creta Electric and revealed its specifications. The electric SUV's official launch will be at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. It will be available in 2 battery pack options and 4 different variants.
Hyundai Creta Electric: Exterior
The electric version of the Creta will have the same profile as the ICE counterpart, and the two will share several design features. Both the front and rear-linked LED lighting components resemble those of their ICE sibling. LED headlamps are arranged vertically beneath the linked headlights. There are a couple of things that are new though. These include new aero-optimized 17-inch alloy wheels, a new sealed-off front grille, and front and rear bumpers with pixel-like detailing.
There will be 4 variants for the Creta Electric: Executive, Smart, Premium, and Excellence. There will be 8 monotone and two dual-tone colour options.
Hyundai Creta Electric: Powertrain
There will be two battery pack options available for the upcoming Creta Electric: 51.4kWh and 42kWh units. It is stated that the range is 473 km and 390 km, respectively. Hyundai boasts that the Creta Electric can sprint from 0 to 100 kph in 7.9 seconds, albeit we do not yet have power and torque data. Other information that is currently known includes the fact that it will have three driving modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport, as well as a drive mode selector positioned on the steering column.
According to Hyundai, the 11kW AC wall box charger can charge from 10 percent to 100 percent in 4 hours, but with the help of a DC fast charger, it can juice up the same in just 58 minutes.
Hyundai Creta Electric: Interior & Features
The design and look of the electric Creta's dashboard is pretty much similar to the ICE model. The electric SUV has a dual-screen configuration and a dual-tone interior design. Among the amenities are a 10.25-inch digital driver's display, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a wireless phone charger, dual-zone temperature control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a panoramic sunroof. The Creta EV will have V2L capability and is anticipated to have features like multi-level regenerative braking.
