Hyundai Exter Hy-CNG Duo launched at Rs 8.50 lakh
Hyundai Motor India has launched the Exter Hy-CNG Duo at a starting price of Rs 8.50 lakh (ex-showroom). This new model features Hyundai's new dual-cylinder setup which uses 2 smaller CNG cylinders instead of a single unit. As seen in CNG cars from Tata Motors, this configuration helps for better space management and more boot space. Hyundai also says that alongside the Hy-CNG Duo, the Exter Hy-CNG (Single Cylinder) will also be available for the customers.

Powering this Exter dual-cylinder CNG is a 1.2-litre engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Hyundai claims a fuel efficiency of 27.1 Km/kg and a CNG capacity of 60 litres. It produces a maximum of 69PS and 95.2Nm of torque and is equipped with a company-fitted CNG system with an Integrated Electronic Control Unit (ECU) for smooth shift from petrol to CNG and vice versa. The CNG system comes with a standard 3-year warranty.
The Exter CNG comes well-equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen, automatic climate control, LED DRLs and taillamps, an electric sunroof and a lot more. In addition, the SUV boasts advanced safety features like 6 airbags, TPMS, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC) and much more.
Hyundai also recently announced that since the micro SUV launch in 2023, the brand has sold over 93,000 units of the car.
