Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS Hy-CNG Duo launched at Rs 7.75 lakh

After launching the Exter Hy-CNG Duo in July, Hyundai has now turned its attention to its smallest hatchback and launched the Grand i10 Nios Hy-CNG Duo at a starting price of Rs 7.75 lakh (ex-showroom). The Hy-CNG Duo cars from Hyundai use 2 smaller CNG cylinders instead of a single unit which aids for better space management and more boot space.

Powering the Grand i10 Nios Hy-CNG Duo is a 1.2-litre engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. This is the same engine found in the Exter CNG as well. The CNG tank capacity is 60 litres (30-30 split). It produces a maximum of 69PS and 95.2Nm of torque and is equipped with a company-fitted CNG system with an Integrated Electronic Control Unit (ECU) for smooth shift from petrol to CNG and vice versa. The CNG system comes with a standard 3-year warranty.

Additionally, Hyundai also says that the Grand i10 Nios Hy-CNG (Single Cylinder) will also be on sale for interested customers.

The Grand i10 Nios comes equipped with features such as projector headlamps, LED DRL and LED Tail Lamp, roof rails, shark fin antenna, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, footwell lighting, rear AC vents, tilt steering and much more. Safety features include 6 airbags as standard, TPMS, rear parking camera, day & night IRVM, ESC, Hill-Start Assist Control and even more.

The Grand i10 Nios Hy-CNG Duo and Hy-CNG will rival the likes of the Tata Tiago iCNG and Maruti Suzuki Celerio CNG. Also note, that the Tiago iCNG is the only car among these 3 to be offered with an AMT transmission in CNG form.
