Hyundai India release new details on the upcoming new Verna
Hyundai has shared the new Verna's dimensions and features ahead of its global debut on March 21. The new Verna is expected to go on sale by the end of March, with deliveries likely to start by mid-April.
Hyundai is offering the Verna in four variants â" EX, S, SX, and SX (O).
The new Hyundai Verna is larger and broader than the current vehicle, yet it has the same height, measuring 4,535mm in length, 1,765mm in width, and 1,475mm high. It also has a boot capacity of 528 litres.
A special phone holder for the front passenger, a multifunctional dashboard, and a cooled glove box are just a few of the new features that Hyundai India has revealed would be available on the new Verna. While top-end models will feature leatherette interiors, the new Verna will have a dual-tone beige and black interior motif. Also, it has features like charging ports, Bose sound systems, and rear AC vents.
The new sedan will also have Hyundai's brand-new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 160 PS, making it the most potent vehicle in its category. Either a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed DCT is paired with this engine. Moreover, a 1.5-litre petrol engine with 115 Hp will be available with a CVT or six-speed manual transmission. There won't be a diesel engine available.
When launched in the coming weeks, the Verna will go up against the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia, and the new Honda City.
