Hyundai Motor India reveals Creta facelift design ahead of January 16 launch
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) unveiled the design of its much-anticipated SUV, the updated Hyundai Creta, today. Customers may reserve the new Creta for Rs 25,000 at any Hyundai dealership in India or on the HMIL website. The Creta will be launched in India on January 16 and deliveries are expected to begin from next month. Prices for the upcoming mid-size SUV are expected to be somewhere between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).
2024 Hyundai Creta facelift: Design
The Creta facelift features an all-new face that corresponds to Hyundai's current models and gives the SUV a more upright and muscular appearance. The Creta facelift will have a fully new front face that includes a reworked grille with a parametric jewel motif, improved projector LED headlights, H-shaped LED DRLs and a new bumper.
The 2024 Hyundai Creta's rear profile will have a big black insert running the length of the back, new LED headlights, and, of course, a linked LED tail bar on the tailgate. The 3D Hyundai logo, vertically-stacked reflectors, a new spoiler with a high-mounted stop light, and a reworked number plate recess are among the additional changes made to the car with this facelift.
2024 Hyundai Creta facelift: Variants and Colours
As mentioned earlier, the upcoming Creta facelift will be available in seven paint options, starting from E, EX, S, S(O), SX, SX Tech, and SX (O). Besides that, Hyundai will offer six single-tone and one dual-tone colour, such as Ranger Khaki, Fiery Red, Atlas White, Abyss Black, Titan Grey, and a new Robust Emerald Pearl along with a dual-tone Atlas White with a black roof.
2024 Hyundai Creta facelift: Powertrain
The Creta facelift will get a new 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 160PS and 253Nm of torque and will continue with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor that makes 115PS and 143.8Nm of torque along with a 1.5-litre turbo diesel unit that delivers 116PS and 250Nm of torque. Transmission options are likely to include a six-speed manual, a six-speed automatic, a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, a six-speed iMT, and a CVT automatic.
2024 Hyundai Creta facelift: Features
The brand is expected to bestow the Creta facelift with several new features, such as Level 2 autonomy, six airbags as standard, new driver display and touchscreen infotainment system, multi-colour ambient lighting, telematics, updated connected car features, in-built voice assistant, and more. Other features could include ESC, traction control, multiple driving modes, a panoramic sunroof, an updated Bose sound system, an air purifier, a 360-degree camera, USB Type-C ports, a wireless charging pad, ventilated seats, and powered front seats, among others.
