Jaguar unveils two ultra-rare E-Types
To mark the 50th anniversary of the last Jaguar E-Type leaving the production line, Jaguar Classic has crafted two exclusive Series I E-Type Commemorative models. These bespoke vehicles were created for a client in Southeast Asia and aim to celebrate the heritage of the iconic sports car.
Each of the two cars highlights key moments from the E-Type's history, blending original design elements with contemporary craftsmanship. Inspired by the final 50 Commemorative Editions released in 1974, these two models are the only examples to be built by Jaguar Classic, making them unique collector's items.
Jaguar Classic E-Type Design
The two E-Type Commemorative models are both drophead coupes, finished in Signet Green and Opal Black, updates of the original 1974 colour schemes. The interiors feature Bridge of Weir leather seats in tan, hand-woven and stitched by Jaguar Classic's trim shop. The design incorporates traditional craftsmanship alongside modern aesthetics, including an anodised aluminium centre console engraved with a blueprint of the early Series I E-Type, sourced from Jaguar's archives.

Adding a unique touch, the models feature bespoke jewellery elements designed by Deakin & Francis, England's oldest jeweller. The exterior and interior are adorned with mother of pearl, sterling silver, and 18ct gold details. Highlights include a silver motif bar badge with guilloche mother of pearl and an 18ct gold Growler icon, as well as a sterling silver gear knob with mother of pearl and gold accents.
Jaguar Classic E-Type Engine specifications
Under the bonnet, the cars are powered by a 3.8-litre engine equipped with Electronic Fuel Injection, paired with a Jaguar Classic five-speed manual gearbox. To enhance usability, the vehicles feature modern updates like a Jaguar Classic Bluetooth radio and heated windscreens, while maintaining the original character of the E-Type.
With over 2,000 hours of meticulous craftsmanship invested in each vehicle, the Jaguar Classic E-Type Commemorative models represent a blend of historical legacy and modern luxury, crafted for discerning collectors.
