Kawasaki India launches 2024 Ninja and Z series motorcycles
Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Kawasaki has launched the 2024 model line-up in India, which includes its Ninja and Z series models. The bike maker has introduced the 2024 Ninja 650, 2024 Ninja 400, 2024 Z H2, 2024 Z H2 SE, and 2024 Z900 RS. Notably, all models updated for the model year 2024 have received a marginal price hike. Kawasaki has also revealed the 2024 ZX-10R, 2024 ZX-6R, and 2024 ZX-10RR, along with its KLX and KX dual-sport motorcycles. Not to forget, the Eliminator and Eliminator SE ABS have also been updated for the latest model year in the international markets.
2024 Ninja 400 launched
The 2024 Ninja 400 is now available in the country at Rs 5.24 lakh (ex-showroom), which is costlier by Rs 5,000 over the MY2023 model. The 2024 model retains the same design and mechanicals, including the analogue cluster. Interestingly, the official website of Kawasaki India shows both MY2023 and MY2024 Ninja 400 for sale on the website. That said, the 2024 Ninja 400 is available in a single paint job, called Lime Green (KRT Edition), whereas the MY2023 model is offered in Metallic Carbon Grey at Rs 5.19 lakh (ex-showroom). Powering the Ninja 400 is a 399cc, parallel twin, liquid-cooled DOHC engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. The motor produces 45PS and 37Nm of torque.
2024 Ninja 650 launched
Moving forward, the next in the line-up is the 2024 Kawasaki Ninja 650, which has been launched at Rs 7.16 lakh (ex-showroom). The model has witnessed a price hike of Rs 4,000 over the previous Ninja 650. Kawasaki offers it with its signature Lime Green shade. The motorcycle continues with a colour TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, LED headlights, traction control, telescopic front forks, and a rear monoshock. The 2024 Ninja 650 comes powered by a 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled DOHC engine producing 68PS and 64Nm of torque. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox. Notably, the motor now meets newer emission standards.
2024 Z H2 and 2024 Z H2 SE launched
Along with the 2024 Ninja 650 and Ninja 400, Kawasaki has introduced the 2024 Z H2 and Z H2 SE at Rs 23.48 lakh and Rs 27.76 lakh (both ex-showroom), respectively. The 2024 Z H2 comes in a dual-tone shade called Metallic Carbon Grey and Ebony, while the 2024 Z H2 SE is available with the Metallic Matte Graphensteel Grey and Ebony paint scheme. The SE boasts Showa's Skyhook semi-active electronic suspension system and Brembo Stylema braking hardware.
Powering the streetfighters is a supercharged 998cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor coupled to a six-speed gearbox. This engine generates a whopping 200PS at 11,000rpm and 137Nm at 8,500rpm.
2024 Z900 RS launched
Last but not least, the 2024 Z 900 RS has made its way to the Indian market with a price tag of Rs 16.80 lakh (ex-showroom). In comparison, the 2023 model was available at Rs 16.47 lakh (ex-showroom). The neo-retro offering is available with a single paint job, Metallic Diablo Black. Kawasaki has discontinued the Metallic Imperial Red colour that was offered with the 2023 model. The Z1-inspired motorcycle comes powered by a 948cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 111PS and 98.5Nm of torque. Apart from these motorcycles, we expect Kawasaki to launch more 2024 models in the country in the coming months.
