Kia Carens is now available with new Luxury (O) variants; prices start at Rs 17 lakh

Kia has expanded the Carens line-up with a new variant, called Luxury (O), with prices starting at Rs 16,99,900 (ex-showroom). It sits between the Carens Luxury and Carens Luxury Plus trim levels, which cost Rs 16,19,900 and Rs 17,54,900 (both ex-showroom), respectively. With this, the Carens is offered in six variants: Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury, Luxury (O), and Luxury Plus. Notably, the new Carens Luxury (O) trim is offered with only a seven-seat layout.

New Kia Carens Luxury (O) variant: Highlights
Since the new Kia Carens Luxury (O) trim sits above the Carens Luxury variant, it benefits from additional features, such as an electric sunroof and 64 colours ambient lighting linked with the driving modes: Normal, Eco, and Sport.

On top of that the new Carens Luxury (O) variant carries the same features as the Luxury trim. It comes equipped with LED headlights and fog lights, LED daytime running lights with integrated indicators, leatherette upholstery, a leather-wrapped flat-bottomed steering wheel, Kia Connect, OTA updates, an air purifier, and cruise control, among others.

Further, the Luxury (O) variant features a dual-tone interior, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.5-inch fully digital instrument cluster, five USB Type-C ports, anti-glare IRVM with Kia Connect switches, retractable rear-seat table with cup holders, and an under seat tray.

New Kia Carens Luxury (O) variant: Colours
The Carens is available in a choice of eight paint schemes, namely Clear White, Glacier Pearl, Gravity Grey, Sparkling Silver, Imperial Blue, Moss Brown, Intense Red, and Aurora Black Pearl.

New Kia Carens Luxury (O) variant: Safety features
Kia has outfitted all variants of the Carens with 10 safety features as standard, including six airbags, an anti-lock braking system, electronic stability control, downhill brake control, hill-start assist control, vehicle stability management, brake assist, all-wheel disc brakes, rear parking sensors, and tyre pressure monitoring system.

New Kia Carens Luxury (O) variant: Powertrain
The new Carens Luxury (O) variant is available in two engine options. It gets a 1.5-litre, inline-four cylinder, turbocharged diesel motor producing 116PS and 250Nm of torque and a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol unit that makes 160PS and 253Nm. The former comes mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, while the latter is coupled to a six-speed automatic unit.
