Kia Carnival is officially off the Indian market
Kia has discontinued the Carnival MPV in India and removed the product from its website. The Carnival was first introduced in India in 2020 as a premium MPV and Kia India is now officially not accepting orders for the vehicle. It was available in three trim levels: Prestige, Limousine, and Limousine Plus, with prices ranging from Rs 30.99 to Rs 35.49 lakh at the time of purchase.
Kia Carnival: Details
The Carnival offered here was already a previous-generation model for the manufacturer, and Kia opted not to upgrade it to meet the most recent BS6 Phase 2 emissions standards. The Carnival was available in 6 and 7-seater versions.
Kia offered only one engine choice for the Carnival, a 2.2-litre diesel engine producing 200PS and 440Nm. The engine was coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission that drove the front wheels.
The Carnival was equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, three-zone temperature control, a dual-pane sunroof, an air purifier, a 10.1-inch touchscreen for rear passengers, an eight-speaker Harman-Kardon audio system, and a wireless charger. Front parking sensors, a smart powered tailgate, an auto anti-glare mirror, a 10-way powered and ventilated driver seat, and TPMS were all available.
Kia has already displayed the fourth-generation Carnival as the Kia KA4 at the 2023 Auto Expo in Delhi. It is larger than the previous generation and has more amenities, such as a larger touchscreen and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
It's even rumoured that it'll get a new petrol-hybrid powertrain overseas, and while it's unclear what will make it to India, it'll almost certainly cost more. You can read more about it here.
