Kia India achieves 4 lakh connected car sales milestone
Kia has achieved yet another milestone by selling over 400,000 connected cars in India. Kia reported that the connected car versions account for more than 44 percent of the carmaker's total domestic deliveries, making it one of the finest cases in the Indian market.
Kia India's connected car variations are growing at an astonishing 30.9 percent compound annual growth rate (CAGR), above the global growth prediction of 18 percent by 2032.
Seltos accounts for 65 percent of Kia's connected vehicle sales in India. According to Kia, consumer preferences for Seltos have steadily shifted towards variations with Connected Car capabilities, which account for 57 percent of all Seltos units sold. Carens, like Seltos, shows a similar trend, with 31 percent of its customers choosing linked car options.
Although telematics is now offered in only seven Sonet versions, these models account for a considerable 21 percent of total Sonet sales. Kia's most popular connected car features are Hinglish voice commands, remote window control, remote engine start, remote air conditioning start/stop, and valet mode.
