Kia India is expanding its vehicle portfolio before 2024 comes to an end and the Syros will be added to the existing list on December 19. This new B-SUV from Kia is expected to sit in between the Sonet and Seltos and is expected to be priced at around Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). Let's take a quick look at what this new upcoming vehicle is expected to offer upon launch.

Kia Syros: Design

The Syros's tallboy and boxy shape is its most recognizable visual feature. It shows off its design launch more inclined towards the EV3 and EV9 rather than the Sonet or Seltos.

In addition to stylish DRLs, the front is equipped with vertically stacked LED headlights that consist of three projector units on either side. For a tough appearance, the front bumper is dual-toned, with a silver skid plate and black cladding. On top variants, the alloy wheel design, which is also new, may measure up to 16 inches. Regarding the back, the Syros has a rear wiper and L-shaped taillights near the rear window.

Kia Syros: Powertrain

The next Kia Syros will have 1.5-litre diesel and 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engines under the hood, mated to both manual and automatic gearboxes. The 3-cylinder petrol can produce 120PS and 172Nm, while the 4-cylinder diesel is good enough for 116PS and 250Nm of torque.

Kia Syros: Interior & Features

A two-spoke steering wheel and a preview of the touchscreen infotainment system were shown in the Kia Syros's last teaser. The buttons on the steering wheel suggested the presence of ADAS.

The features list is expected to include a 360-degree camera, multi-zone climate control, wireless mobile connectivity, USB Type-C charging ports, a new steering wheel, two 12.3-inch screens, rear AC vents, a wireless charger, ventilated front seats, a powered driver seat, and a Level 2 ADAS suite. Segment-first second-row seats with recline and ventilation features will also be available.
