KTM 890 Duke R and 1390 Super Duke R launched in India

KTM India has expanded its very popular Duke model and added the 890 Duke R and 1390 Super Duke R to its portfolio. The 890 Duke R is priced at Rs 14.50 lakh (ex-showroom) and the 1390 Super Duke R is priced at a whooping 11.96 lakh (ex-showroom).

KTM 1390 Super Duke R

The 1390 Super Duke R was launched last year globally and has now finally made it to India. This is the very first time KTM has bought its Super Duke to India.

The 1,350 cc LC8 V-Twin liquid-cooled engine that powers the new KTM 1390 Super Duke R produces 190PS at 10,000 rpm and 145Nm at 8,000 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch. Compared to the prvious motocycle, this one gets a new camshaft, a revamped airbox, and new throttle bodies with a larger intake diameter.

The 1390 Super Duke R is equipped with Michelin Power GP tires and 17-inch wheels. It has a WP semi-active suspension system with up to five settings. In the meanwhile, a pair of 320mm discs up front and a 240mm disc down back handle braking.

The 2024 KTM 1390 Super Duke R appears to be more in keeping with the 990 Duke and other models in the brand's naked range. The street-naked's new trademark LED DRLs are mounted on a vertically stacked LED headlight. Along with redesigned fuel tank shrouds and winglets, the bike's general design is sharpened.

The 1390 Super Duke R weighs 200 kg (dry) and has a seat height of 834 mm. It also has a 17.5 litre fuel tank.

KTM 890 Duke R

If the 1390 Super Duke is too much for you, then you might be interested in this. Powering the 890 Duke R is the 890cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that makes 121PS and 99 Nm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch.

This bike has adjustable WP suspension, rides on 17-inch alloy wheels and high-end Brembo Stylema callipers manage the braking duties. Additionally, KTM equipped the bike with a full suite of electronics. There are three riding modes - Rain, Street, and Sport - nine-level TC settings, cornering ABS, and lean-sensitive traction control. Additionally, there is an optional Track mode. In addition, the bike has a color TFT display and complete LED lighting.
