Lamborghini Revuelto receives two years' worth of orders
Lamborghini's newest Revuelto plug-in hybrid supercar has caused a sensation in the automotive industry since its global debut and that has resulted in its order book being booked for the next two years of production. This modern super car represents a significant milestone for the renowned Italian marque as it marks their first-ever V12 powered supercar integrated with a hybrid system, succeeding the immensely popular Aventador. The Revuelto is also the first supercar to feature a full carbon fiber front structure. Notably, over the course of 11 years, Lamborghini delivered 11,465 units of the Aventador.
Lamborghini Revuelto Bookings and Production
In keeping with their commitment to innovation, Lamborghini has implemented a modern manufacturing process, known as "Manifattura 4.0," which harmoniously combines cutting-edge automation with skilled human craftsmanship. This has led to the expansion of their production area by 172,000 square meters, requiring an investment of €150 million.
The launch of the Revuelto also signifies the beginning of Lamborghini's "Direzione Cor Tauri" project's second phase, involving the brand's largest-ever investment of €1.9 billion. This ambitious initiative aims to electrify the entire Lamborghini model lineup by 2024, including the introduction of the first-ever Urus PHEV. Further, Lamborghini will unveil its inaugural all-electric model in 2028, a 2+2 grand tourer.
Lamborghini Revuelto: Powertrain
The Revuelto boasts a formidable 6.5-litre V12 engine, producing an impressive 825PS and 725Nm of torque, with a redline of 9,500rpm. It is the lightest and most potent twelve-cylinder mill ever made by the marque. The V12 works with a tri-motor setup: two electric motors at the front axle and one at the rear, combined with a 3.8kWh battery pack housed in the centre tunnel. The result is an astounding total power output of 1,015PS, enabling a 100kmph sprint from a standstill in a staggering 2.5 seconds, while it can achieve zero to 200kmph in less than seven seconds. Paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, this magnificent supercar reaches a top speed of 350kmph.
