Launched – 2012 Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster
Aston Martin has lifted the wraps off its new V12 Vantage Roadster. The car is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.0-litre V12 engine which makes 517PS of power and 570Nm of torque. The powerplant is coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission. Aston claims that the roadster will sprint from 0-100kmph in 4.5s and will have a top speed of 306kmph.
Changes from the newly launched Vantage V12 coupe include lower front intakes, redesigned rear boot lid and some chassis revisions with a new rear spring design, modified rear damper set-up and front-rear damper valve tuning. Aston has made extensive use of carbon fibre in the cabin and those looking for personalisation will be happy to note that there is an optional interior package with more carbon fibre.
The 2012 Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster is priced at Rs 1.28 crore excluding taxes, in select countries.
