Limited-run MINI Charged Edition launched in India at Rs 55 lakh

MINI India has launched the MINI Charged Edition at Rs 55 lakh (ex-showroom) â€" a limited-run model of the all-electric MINI 3-door Cooper SE in India. The electric hatch is available in only 20 units and will arrive as a Completely Built-Up unit (CBU). Prospective customers can reserve their special edition Cooper SE at the brand's official website.

MINI Charged Edition: Highlights

The MINI Charged Edition is the first limited-run model of the 3-Door Cooper SE in India. It adorns a special Chili Red paint job with a white roof. The headlamps, door handles, tailgate handle, logos, outside rearview mirror caps, and taillamps also feature Aspen White inserts. Additionally, MINI has given it Frozen Red stripes and Energetic Yellow design highlights on the bonnet, door panels, and boot. It also runs on a new set of 17-inch alloy wheels with rim edges painted in Energetic Yellow shade.

MINI Charged Edition: Interior and features

The limited-run MINI Charged Edition boasts "exclusive MINI Electric Interior" with sports seats wrapped in Carbon Black leatherette upholstery. There is a multifunction steering wheel gets Nappa leather trim, a five-inch driver display, an 8.8-inch, and ambient lighting. MINI has bestowed the Energetic Yellow shade to the start/stop engine toggle switch, gear stick, and badging on door sills.

The MINI Charged Edition comes outfitted with a raft of features, such as a MINI Wired Package with navigation system, wireless charging, Harman Kardon sound System, driving modes, cruise control, a rear view camera, TPMS, stability control, cornering brake control, and auto start/stop function, among others.

MINI Charged Edition: Battery, range, charging, and power outputs

Powering the MINI Charged Edition is a 32.6kWh battery pack and an electric motor that produces 184PS and a torque of 270Nm. Most importantly, it has a driving range of up to 270km on a full charge. In addition, the Cooper SE can go from zero to 100kmph in 7.3 seconds. With a 50kW DC charger, the electric hatch can be charged to 80 per cent in 36 minutesm, while using an 11kW AC charger takes two and a half hours to charge.

The MINI Charged Edition comes with the MINI Smart Wallbox charger and a portable DC charging cable. Further, the battery pack offers a warranty of eight years or up to 1,00,000km, while the MINI Charged Edition has a standard two-year warranty for unlimited kilometres. Customers can extend their warranty and can also opt for roadside assistance package as optional extras.
