Mahindra BE.05 spotted testing; More details revealed
Mahindra is working on multiple EVs like the BE.05, XUV.e8, XUV.e9, and others. All cars have been spotted testing on multiple occasions but now we have gotten a glimpse of the BE.05 once again unravelling more details of the car that is set to come in 2025 and its main rival would be the newly launched Tata Curvv EV.
Mahindra BE.05: Design
Big C-shaped LED DRLs are installed on the front of the Mahindra BE.05. BE.05's futuristic, flamboyant design will also have an aerodynamic profile. Additionally, the wheels are aerodynamic, which should lessen air resistance.
Mahindra has teased the car in almost production form that shows a birds-eye perspective of the BE.05, with the massive glass roof in the centre. From this position, you can also see the wraparound windshield image.
Mahindra BE.05: Interior
The BE.05 appears to have a twin-spoke design for the steering wheel with a glowing 'BE' logo in the centre. It will also get electrically adjustable front seats, a freestanding digital instrument cluster, fabric door handles, and a floating centre console on the inside.
Now the twin displays for the infotainment and instrumentation don't appear to be the exact same one that we see in the current generation of Mahindra's. The User Interface (UI) looks more EV-oriented and a bit sharper than the one that we see in the XUV700.
Mahindra BE.05: Powertrain
The EV-specific INGLO platform underpins Mahindra's BE 05. The car is likely to have a 60kWh battery pack with a range of up to 450 kilometres. Mahindra claims 175kW rapid charging capabilities, allowing the BE 05 to charge from 5 percent to 80 percent in less than half an hour. The BE.05 is expected to be available with 2WD and 4WD drivetrains.
