Mahindra has showcased the new BE Rall-E concept electric vehicle (EV) in India. This rugged SUV is based on the BE.05 concept EV, which made its debut in the United Kingdom on 15 August, 2022, alongside the BE.07, BE.09, XUV.e8, and XUV.e9. Notably, the BE.05 and XUV.e9 also made their India debut at the event.

Mahindra BE Rall-E concept EV: Highlights

Unlike the BE-05 concept, the Mahindra BE Rall-E concept is a hard-core off-road SUV. It features rugged styling elements in the form of redesigned front and rear bumpers, chunky body cladding, a large set of 18-inch wheels, and a luggage rack on the roof with integrated LED lights. The redesigned front and rear ends of the rally-spec SUV comprise off-road oriented bumpers, round headlights, horizontal daytime running lights, a light bar running across the width, and a bash plate at the front and rear.

Mahindra also showcased the BE.05 in the country for the first time. The EV measures 4,370mm in length, 1,900mm in width, and 1,653mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,775mm. The BE.05 uses a new INGLO architecture that utilises Volkswagen's MEB platform components. Moreover, it features an aero bridge at the front consisting of various air inlets and outlets for aerodynamic efficiency. Other highlights of the BE.05 include concealed Level 2+ autonomy sensors, and a slanted roofline with a roof-mounted spoiler, among others. Meanwhile, Mahindra will introduce the BE.05 in India sometime in October 2025.

The XUV.e9 concept, one of the electric SUVs under the XUV electric vehicle sub-brand, was also on the display alongside the BE Rall-E and BE.05 concepts. It is also based on the INGLO platform and measures 4,790mm in length, 1,905mm in width, and 1,690mm in height with a wheelbase that stands at 2,775mm. Further, it gets a full-length light strip, vertical headlights, an LED light bar running across its length at the rear, and body cladding. Unlike the XUV.e8, the XUV.e9 concept gets a coupe-style sloping roofline. Meanwhile, Mahindra will equip it with an all-wheel drive, Level 2+ autonomy, and 5G connectivity.
