Mahindra Scorpio N top variant gets additional features

The Mahindra Scorpio N has been a very popular SUV among Indians and to strong-arm this success, Mahindra has updated the top variant of the SUV with some new features and a new colour. Mahindra has added these features to the cars without any price hike.

The variants that have received the updates are the Z8 Select, Z8 and Z8 L. The Z8 Select variant was quite recently introduced to the market and did so with the Midnight Black paint job. Mahindra has now extended that colour to the Z8 and Z8 L variants as well.

Furthermore, the homegrown brand has also added a wireless charger and high gloss finish to the centre console of the Z8 Select and Z8 variants. The top-of-the-line Z8 L benefits from ventilated front seats, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a wireless charging pad with active cooling and a high-gloss finish for the centre console.

These additional features come at no extra cost and the Z8 Select variant continues to start from Rs 17.09 lakh. The Z8 and Z8 L variants are still priced at Rs 18.74 lakh and Rs 20.37 lakh, respectively. All prices mentioned are Ex-showroom.

The Scorpio N is offered with both petrol and diesel options. The diesel engine engine is the 2.2-litre mHawk unit. This motor is available in two states of tune with a lower-spec Z2 variant putting out 132PS and 300 Nm, being offered with a six-speed manual and rear-wheel-drive only. The top-spec variants of the Mahindra Scorpio-N will get this diesel in a higher 175PS tune with torque outputs increasing to 370Nm when paired with the manual and 400 Nm with the six-speed automatic.

The petrol engine is a 2.0-litre motor that puts out 200PS and 370 Nm with the six-speed manual and 380 Nm with the automatic. The 4WD setup though is only offered with the diesel powertrain.
