Maruti Suzuki Alto K10, S-Presso gets ESP as standard
Maruti Suzuki India Limited has announced that its Alto K10 and S-Presso will now be available with the Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) as standard across all their variants. However, there are no price increments for both models.
The ESP is an advanced computerised safety feature that supports the driver in critical situations. The purpose is to enhance a vehicle's stability by detecting and minimising loss of traction, preventing uncontrolled skidding of the tyres. When the stability control program senses a loss of steering control, it applies brakes to assist in guiding the vehicle to its intended path.
The Maruti Alto K10 comes in eight variants, including automatic and CNG. Its prices range between Rs 3.99 lakh and Rs 5.96 lakh (ex-showroom). Also on offer are seven distinct colour options. On the other hand, the S-Presse is available in eight variants across manual, AMT, and CNG versions with prices starting from Rs 4.26 lakh (ex-showroom) and going up to Rs 6.12 lakh (ex-showroom). Maruti Suzuki offers it with seven paint options.
Powering the Alto K10 and S-Presso is a 998cc, inline three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 66.62PS and 89Nm of torque. Both get a five-speed manual and an AMT transmission.
