Maruti Suzuki commence bookings for the all new Celerio

As of  November 2, 2021, Maruti Suzuki India Limited has started taking bookings for the much-anticipated all-new Celerio. The Maruti Suzuki Celerio can be booked for an initial payment of just Rs 11,000.

Announcing the bookings open for the All-New Celerio, Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Director (Marketing and Sales), Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, "Since its launch, Celerio took the market by storm with its unique style and the revolutionary Auto Gear Shift (AGS) Technology, that helped democratize the two-pedal technology in the country. Brand Celerio has since then stood for new age technology, modern design and practicality. Today's urban, progressive and aspirational customers, look for lively, active and vivid products to match their persona. The All-New Celerio with a new petrol engine, vibrant and stylish design, and with host of segment-first features is an all-rounder. We are confident that the All-New Celerio will once again energize the compact segment."

CV Raman, Chief Technical Officer (Engineering), Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, "Powered by Next-Gen KSeries Dual Jet, Dual VVT Engine with first in segment Idle Start-Stop Technology, All-New Celerio will be the 'MOST FUEL-EFFICIENT PETROL CAR IN INDIA'."

Retaining Maruti Suzuki's new design language, the All-New Celerio offers a distinctive design impression with its 3D organic sculpted appearance and dynamic characteristics. The front fascia has an all-new radiant grille with sharp chrome highlights and an aggressive headlight for a distinctive design.

The Maruti Suzuki Celerio should move to the fifth-generation Heartect platform on which most of the brand's other offerings are based. The engine option should be the K10B 1.0-litre petrol motor with 68PS and 90Nm and paired with either a five-speed manual or five-speed AMT. An ARAI-certified fuel efficiency figure of around 22 kmpl can be expected. A CNG variant should be added to the lineup eventually.
