Maruti Suzuki expected to launch 3 new cars in 2024
Maruti Suzuki has ambitious aspirations for the Indian market. MSIL is preparing to debut three new cars in the nation, which would most likely help it extend its position in the Indian auto industry even more. The country's largest automobile manufacturer by volume seems keen to continue betting on ICE-powered vehicles before their first EV, the eVX hits the streets of India only in 2025. Let's take a look at what we should expect to in 2024 from Maruti Suzuki.
Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara 7-seater
The Grand Vitara has been such a success in the compact SUV segment that the Indian manufacturer may release a 7-seater variant to compete with the Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector Plus, Mahindra XUV700, and the new Tata Safari.
According to reports, work on a seven-seater model has already begun. The specific date of the debut has not yet been announced, but it will be sometime next year. This one model will very certainly have a longer wheelbase to accommodate the third row of seats. The engine options will stay the same, with the business providing both mild hybrid and robust hybrid powertrains.
New Maruti Suzuki Swift
The new Swift is Maruti Suzuki's most anticipated upcoming vehicle. Because of its fun-to-drive abilities and affordable price, the Swift enjoys a large fanbase in India. The completely production-ready vehicle was recently unveiled by the business at the Tokyo Mobility Show 2023. It had a completely new external and internal design, yet it nevertheless managed to keep its signature shape that we'd seen for years.
Maruti Suzuki is ditching its venerable K Series engine in favour of the Z Series 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated engine. The business has set strong fuel economy standards, and while power output is likely to stay similar to the K12 unit, torque will be greater, according to sources.
New Maruti Suzuki Dzire
Following the debut of the new Swift in India, the business will most likely follow up with the launch of the new Dzire. The redesigned Maruti Suzuki Dzire is expected to be released in September 2024. The new Dzire will appear extremely similar to the Swift but with some front and rear design changes.
The inclusion of a rear boot on the Dzire hybrid will be the primary difference between the two vehicles. The new 2024 Maruti Dizre will be powered by a new 1.2-litre petrol engine bolstered by robust hybrid technology, and it is predicted to yield an outstanding 30-35 kmpl.
