Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-door has started arriving at NEXA dealerships in India
The Maruti Suzuki Jimny five-door has started showing up in local dealerships around India ahead of its debut, which is anticipated to take place in the upcoming weeks.
The longer body and two additional doors for rear-seat occupants clearly distinguish this five-door variant from the ordinary Jimny. This greatly improves the SUV's practicality by making entry and exit considerably simpler.
Just the Zeta and Alpha trim levels of the Jimny are offered, with the latter getting auto headlights, the SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system, and an Arkamys sound system. Nonetheless, Maruti Suzuki comes equipped with safety features including hill-hold assistance and six airbags.
The Jimny five-door is propelled by a 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces 105PS and 134Nm. It may be paired with either a four-speed torque converter or a five-speed manual. Moreover, four-wheel drive with low range is standard across the whole range, independent of the version or transmission selected, for greater off-roading capabilities.
The Mahindra Thar and Force Gurkha 5-door are in the works and will be on the market later and will take on the Jimny in the Indian market. We expect the Maruti Suzuki Jimny to be priced around Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom).
