With escalating input costs and surging commodity prices, several major automakers have announced a price hike across their vehicle line-ups. Among the brands making this adjustment are Maruti Suzuki, Audi, Mahindra, and Tata Motors, and more manufacturers are expected to follow suit in the upcoming weeks.

Maruti Suzuki

India's leading automaker, Maruti Suzuki, is set to implement a price hike starting January 2024 due to increased input costs driven by overall inflation and rising commodity prices. This increase will apply to a wide range of cars across Maruti Suzuki Arena and Maruti Suzuki Nexa outlets, including models like Alto, Wagon R, Celerio, Invicto, S-Presso, Baleno, Swift, Dzire, Brezza, Ertiga, Eeco, Grand Vitara, Ciaz, XL6, Ignis, and Fronx.

Tata Motors

Indian automaker Tata Motors also plans to raise prices for its vehicles effective January 2024. While specific details about the price hike are currently limited, the upward revision will encompass all ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) and electric vehicles, spanning models such as Tiago, Tigor, Altroz, Punch, Nexon, Harrier, Safari, Tiago EV, Tigor EV, and Nexon EV.

Mahindra

Following suit, another prominent carmaker, Mahindra & Mahindra, is planning to increase prices for its passenger vehicles starting January 2024 due to escalating commodity costs and inflationary pressures. The company's current lineup comprises the XUV300, XUV700, Thar, Scorpio-N, Scorpio Classic, Bolero, Bolero Neo, Marazzo, and the all-electric XUV400.

Audi

Audi, the German luxury automaker, has announced a price revision of up to two percent across its entire model range, effective January next year. This adjustment is attributed to mounting input and operational expenses. The brand's current offerings include A4, S5 Sportback, RS5 Sportback, A6, A8 L, Q3, Q3 Sportback, Q5, Q7, Q8, RS Q8, Q8 e-tron, Q8 e-tron Sportback, e-tron GT, and RS e-tron GT.

MG Motor India

MG is the latest automaker to announce a price hike across its model line-up from January 2024. Like the other companies, the brand has taken the decision owing to the rising costs attributed to overall inflation and increased commodity prices. On the other hand, it is offering special year-end offers to customers before the price hike comes into play.
