Maserati Grecale: Exterior & Interior
The Grecale looks much like its older sibling, the Levante, but the new design language from MC2o's generation can also be seen in its low and intimidating grille and hunkered-down attitude. Meanwhile, the new boomerang-shaped taillight design and a new-look exhaust distinguish the rear end.
The classic Maserati clockface is one of the outstanding tech specifications within the interior. For the first time, thanks to voice control, it converts into a virtual in-car concierge. Everything is controlled by touch, and the technology is controlled by the screens. The 12.3-inch primary screen, an 8.8-inch display for the supplementary controls, and a third for the rear-seat occupants.
The Maserati Intelligent Assistant (MIA) Multimedia system, as well as the Maserati Connect, control the in-car experience. A Sonus Faber 3D sound system is also included in the package. The Sonus Faber system comes with 14 speakers as standard at the Premium level and 21 speakers on-demand at the High Premium level.
The Maserati Vehicle Dynamic Control Module (VDCM) technology and 360-degree control are available to the car. Complete control translates into four drive modes: Comfort, GT, Sport, Corsa (Trofeo only) and Off-road.
Maserati Grecale: Powertrain
The GT variant is powered by a four-cylinder mild-hybrid engine capable of 300PS. The Modena is powered by the same four-cylinder engine but with a mild-hybrid setup and is capable of 330PS, while the most powerful Trofeo has a high-performance 3.0-litre 530PS petrol V6 based on the Nettuno engine found in the Maserati MC20.
All 3 variants come with standard all-wheel-drive and Maserati claims the Trofeo can zip from o to 100 kmph in just 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of 288 kmph. An all-electric Maserati Grecale Folgore is available internationally and could come to India at a later date.
Maserati India Plans
Customised Grecale models are also available to order. Depending on the specifications, customizations selected from the available catalogue may need up to six months to complete. Additionally, bespoke customization is offered for the materials, interior trim, and exterior colours.
Maserati says that they already have 3 showrooms at the moment in India and talks are underway for more dealerships. The brand is also exploring setting up service and delivery hubs in the months to come and the brand will operate from the Stellantis office in India and have direct contact with Italy for customer needs.
