Mercedes-AMG E53 Cabriolet 4Matic+ to make Indian debut on January 6
The E53 Cabriolet 4Matic+ from Mercedes-AMG will debut in India on January 6, 2023, and will be sold there as a CBU. In essence, the E 53 Cabriolet is the two-door, four-seat convertible variant of the E 53 sedan. It is available in AMG trim levels worldwide.
The Mercedes-AMG E 53 Cabriolet has AMG-exclusive improvements, such as a trademark grille and a redesigned front splitter, which harmonizes its front-end design with other AMG models.
The Cabriolet has the same 440PS, 3.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with an integrated starter generator that produces an extra 21PS and 249Nm of torque, as do the E53 sedan and GLE 53 coupe-SUV. Additionally, it comes with AMG's Ride Control+ air suspension and Dynamic Select driving modes.
A 9-speed automatic transmission distributes the power to all four wheels. The E53 Cabriolet, according to Mercedes, has an electronically regulated top speed of 250 kmph and a 0-100 time of 4.6 seconds.
The enormous twin 12.3-inch instrument and infotainment screens, together with the hefty, flat-bottom AMG steering wheel, are the standout characteristics of the basic interior design, which is comparable to that of the sedan. The E 53 Cabriolet is outfitted with amenities including a Burmester music system, cordless phone charging, and ambient lighting.
The Mercedes-AMG E53 Cabriolet 4Matic+ will be the fourth '53' badged AMG model in India after the E 53 sedan, GLE 53 coupe-SUV and the EQS 53 EV sedan.
