Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake unveiled
The wait for the new Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake is over. The company has unveiled its five door coupe. Essentially a low-slung station wagon, the Shooting Brake is based on the CLS coupe and gets a wooden load compartment floor and loading rails made with aluminium. It also has a towing kit, though optional, to complement its utility.
Mercedes have kitted the CLS Shooting Brake with five interior colours and trim designs along with three qualities of leather. The luggage compartment is a mammoth 1550 litres with the rear seats pushed down. There are four engine variants â" two diesel and two petrol. All the engines will be mated to a 7G-Tronic Plus auto transmission and will also have stop/start function as standard. The base 204PS CLS 250 CDI BlueEfficiency rear wheel driven variant claims to deliver 18kmpl fuel efficiency. The CLS 350 CDI and CLS 350 produce 265 and 306PS of power while the CLS 500 produces 408PS.
