Mercedes-Benz GLE facelift launched; prices start at Rs 96.4 lakh
Mercedes-Benz India has officially launched the new GLE facelift in the country, and it's available in three trims: 300d 4Matic, 450d 4Matic, and 450 4Matic. These trims are priced at Rs 96.4 lakh (ex-showroom), Rs 1.1 crore (ex-showroom), and Rs 1.15 crore (ex-showroom), respectively. Notably, deliveries of the 300d and 450 will commence this month, while deliveries of the 450d will begin in the first quarter of the next year.
New Mercedes-Benz GLE facelift: Design
The GLE facelift features a host of design updates, including new headlamps with unique daytime driving lights, reworked taillights, a redesigned grille, new front and rear bumpers, and a set of 19-inch alloy wheels (20-inch AMG wheels for the 450 and 450d trims). The 450 4Matic and 450d 4Matic come with an AMG package as standard. The SUV is available in five colour options: Polar White, High Tech Silver, Selenite Grey, Obsidian Black, and the new Sodalite Blue.
New Mercedes-Benz GLE facelift: Interior
Inside the cabin, you will find new interior themes, with Bahia Brown with Black being one of the three options. The GLE facelift boasts a new steering wheel with touch-capacitive controls, air-con vents made from galvanised metal, a Burmester surround sound system, a 12.3-inch driver display, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, USB Type-C fast charging ports in the rear, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Other features for 300d include powered rear window sunblinds, powered rear seats, four zone temperature control, air purification pack, transparent bonnet function, active parking and keyless go packages, nine airbags, pre safe, and blind spot monitoring. On the other hand, the 450 and 450d get air balance package, heated and cooled front seats, airmatic air suspension, a heads-up display, and adaptive multibeam LED headlights. Overall, there are nine new standard features compared to the previous models.
New Mercedes-Benz GLE Facelift: Powertrains
All trims of the new GLE now feature electrification, thanks to the 48-volt mild-hybrid system and integrated starter generator. The GLE 300d is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine with 269PS and 550Nm of torque. The GLE 450 features a 3.0-litre six-cylinder petrol engine producing 381PS and 500Nm of torque, while the GLE 450d has a 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel engine with 367PS and 750Nm of torque. All engines offer a brief power boost, enhancing performance.
