Mercedes-Benz India launches AMG GLE 63 S 4MATIC+ Coupe at Rs 2.07 crore
Mercedes-Benz launched the all-new AMG GLE 63 S 4MATIC+ Coup as part of its product onslaught in the market. The addition of the four-litre V8 AMG GLE 63 S 4MATIC+ Coup to the company's core AMG line of pure performance Sports Utility Coups in India strengthens the company's core AMG range of pure performance Sports Utility Coups. The AMG GLE 63 S 4MATIC+ Coup is the 12th AMG model offered in India for AMG fanatics.
The Mercedes-Benz GLE lineup has been one of the most versatile in recent years, with models ranging from the GLE 300 d 4MATIC LWB to the performance-oriented AMG GLE 53 4MATIC+ Coup, all having the same robust basis. The new AMG GLE 63 S 4MATIC+ Coup is the AMG GLE 53 4MATIC+ Coup's more powerful sibling.
The famous twin-turbo 4-litre V8 engine in the AMG GLE 63 S 4MATIC+Coup generates a monstrous 620PS and 850 Nm of torque through an AMG speedshift TCT 9G transmission. This performance SUV Coup is highly nimble, sprinting from 0 to 100 in only 3.8 seconds, making it Mercedes-Benz India's quickest SUV Coup.
The 4-litre engine in the AMG GLE 63 S 4MATIC+ Coup is also the first AMG V8 to use the 48-volt EQ Boost hybrid technology. The EQ Boost starter-alternator is incorporated into the 4-litre V8 biturbo engine. The EQ Boost hybrid technology adds 22PS and 250 Nm of torque to the engine.
Mercedes claims the front apron, which is designed in the shape of a dynamic jet wing and has black air intakes, is painted the same colour as the car. The front splitter and imposing power domes on the bonnet, both in silver chrome, highlight the sharper coup form. Standard on the vehicle are a set of 22-inch light-alloy wheels with AMG lettering. AMG-specific features such as a stunning black diffuser, a silver chrome trim strip, and a unique AMG performance exhaust system with two rectangular high-gloss chrome-plated twin tailpipe trim pieces complete the sportily dominating design.
The SUV's interior has a very sporting atmosphere with a dynamic and unique flare. The AMG seats have an AMG unique Nappa leather touch added to them, as well as optimal lateral support and an AMG logo. With its optimal driver-oriented ergonomic design, the three-spoke AMG Performance steering wheel covered in complete Dinamica microfiber and aluminium shift paddles impresses. To further personalise the inside, a variety of high-quality interior trim components are available. Carbon fibre AMG trim pieces are available as an option, giving the cabin a sporty feel.
Mercedes-AMG has added cylinder deactivation to its V8 engines to improve economy. The cylinder deactivation mechanism activates in a wide engine speed range when the driver selects the "Comfort" driving programme.
The Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S 4MATIC+ Coup is priced at Rs. 2.07 crores.
