MG Air EV spotted testing in India
MG India is creating a small two-door EV for the Indian market. The Wuling Air EV, which was recently presented in Indonesia, is thought to be rebadged as the MG Air EV for the Indian market.
The new MG Air electric vehicle for India will take a lot of aesthetic cues from the E230. It is constructed on MG's most recent Global Small Electric Vehicles (GSEV) platform, which can accommodate several body types. The automobile has a boxy, tall boy silhouette that should provide enough inside room.
We anticipate that the Air EV will debut in India in 2023, at Auto Expo. It is available overseas in two and four-seater versions with two different battery capacities. The bigger 26.7kWh battery pack is expected to go 300km on a single charge, while the smaller 17.3kWh battery pack is adequate for up to 200km of range.
There are several distinctive design elements, such a full-width light bar that connects the rearview mirrors. Under the MG logo, the charging connector is carefully concealed. Trapezoidal headlights, rectangular fog lamps, and a body-coloured bumper are further standout elements.
Two 10.25-inch displays, one for the infotainment system and the other for the instrument cluster, are installed on the dashboard inside the vehicle. This city small EV will be equipped as standard with an electronic parking brake, steering-mounted controls, a rearview camera, parking sensors, twin airbags, ABS, EBD, TCS, and connected technologies.
