MG Comet EV Gamer Edition launched; prices start at Rs 8.63 lakh
MG Motor India has launched the new Comet EV Gamer Edition in India. This new special edition model is available across its variants at an additional cost of Rs 64,999. Therefore, the prices of the Gamer Edition of the Comet EV start from Rs 8.63 lakh (ex-showroom). Notably, the Comet EV comes in three variants: Pace, Play, and Plush. These variants cost Rs 7.98 lakh, Rs 9.28 lakh, and Rs 9.98 lakh (all ex-showroom). Customers can book the Comet EV Gamer Edition at the official MG website or by visiting any nearest showroom in the country.
MG Comet EV Gamer Edition: What is new?
Designed in collaboration with Naman Mathur, famously known as Mortal, the Comet EV Gamer Edition takes inspiration from the gaming community, while its styling emphasises dark and light themes.
The exterior of the Comet EV Gamer Edition has been made using recycled plastic materials. It features a combination of a dark chrome and metal finish with illuminated design elements, such as an outline of a gaming controller on the rear panel. Apart from that, the special-edition model retails its overall design.
On the inside, the gaming focussed interior of the Comet EV Gamer Edition comes with various neon highlights for the steering wheel and seats. On top of that, the EV continues with the dual-screen setup comprising a 10.25-inch driver display and 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment screen and carries the identical cabin styling to the standard model.
MG Comet EV Gamer Edition: Features
MG has equipped the Comet EV with a range of features and its Gamer Edition also benefits from them. It gets wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, keyless entry, over 55 connected car features, a digital key, power windows, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, a rear parking camera, TPMS, and Electronic Stability Control (ESC).
MG Comet EV Gamer Edition: Powertrain
The Comet EV Gamer Edition comes powered by a 17.3kWh battery pack and a rear axle-mounted electric motor that makes 42PS and 110Nm of torque. With this, the EV has a range of 230km on a full charge, as per the ARAI cycle.
